LOCATION: Mobile, Alabama

EMPLOYER: University of South Alabama Medical Center

POSITION: Full-Time Pharmacist, Oncology

WHY YOU’LL LOVE ITFounded in 1702 as the original capital of the Louisiana Territory and nestled along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, few other cities can boast such a rich history and prime location. By the time the Americans arrived in Mobile in 1813 to occupy the city, it was already old enough to have passed through French, British and Spanish hands.

Visitors marvel at the area’s sheer beauty, modern architecture, amazing museums, and famous seafood creations. Historical and cultural attractions include the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, Bellingrath Gardens and Home, Oakleigh Historic House Museum, Bragg Mitchell Mansion, Admiral Raphael Semmes House, The Museum of Mobile, the Gulf Coast Exploreum, and Fort Conde, its official visitor center.

Any time is a great time for a party, and nobody knows how to celebrate like people along the Gulf Coast. Throughout the year, festivals and events keep spirits lively and hearts joyful. Mobile is not only the home of the first-known Mardi Gras celebration in 1703 (yes, even before New Orleans), but also the modern American’s family Mardi Gras delighting 200,000+ visitors annually from around town and across the nation. This magnificent celebration lasts for nearly two weeks and culminates on Fat Tuesday, the day before Lent. Mobile is just an hour’s drive from Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast beaches.

Mobile is a sports town. From baseball to bowl games to high school football, you’ll find some of the best team sports right here along the Gulf Coast. World-class facilities for golf and tennis are a perfect match for a climate that allows for year-round outdoor activities. Mobile is one of the South’s best locations for hunting, fishing, sailing or just enjoying the great outdoors.

As one of the oldest cities in the United States, our city combines Southern tradition, beauty and charm with all the elements of a fast-growing, successful community. Any time of the year, on any day of the week, Mobile Bay is teeming with energy.
