The Cardiology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist’s primary responsibilities are to provide pharmaceutical care to CCU and cardiology floor patients. The areas where they will lend their clinical expertise includes participation in cardiology care grand rounds, the heart failure and in-patient anticoagulation dosing programs, as well as teaching and representing pharmacy on various committees.
• Must possess a Pharm.D. degree
• Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Cardiology or Critical Care will consider a PGY1 with 5 years of experience in Cardiology or Critical Care
• Must have or be eligible for licensure through the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy
• Maintains competency in unique aspects of drug therapy for cardiology and critical care patients
