As Director of Pharmacy with CPS, you will have a full support team of CPS pharmacy experts available to you, operations, safety, compliance and regulatory, clinical, purchasing, and more. We’ll rely on you to: oversee all pharmacy operations in accordance with hospital and CPS policies and in compliance with federal and state laws; actively participate in hospital healthcare initiatives and committees, including the P&T Committee; establish a collaborative and constructive relationship with all healthcare staff; create pharmacy workflows and processes that maximize safety and minimize cost; motivate pharmacy staff to a high standard of achievement.
The Hospital Pharmacy is centralized and is open M-F from 7am-7pm and Sa-Sun 7am-5pm. Staff work 8-10 hours shifts with some on-call. The hospital plans automation additions including EMR and CPOE. The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. The DOP is an employee of CPS. All other pharmacy staff are hospital employees.
Olmsted Medical Center is a dynamic, growing hospital that serves residents of Olmsted County including residents of the city of Rochester, home of world renowned Mayo Clinic. In addition to a 60+ bed acute care hospital, Olmsted Medical Center also operates 12 branch clinics in Rochester and surrounding communities. The hospital is planning an expansion and will eventually add a birth center and a women’s health center. » Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
» Current Minnesota license in good standing
» 2+ years experience as a Director of Pharmacy or ADOP or Manager in an acute care hospital setting (hospital pharmacy leadership experience must be within the last 5 years). We are seeking someone with good relationship building skills and excellent leadership skills.
