LOCATION: Abington, Pennsylvania
EMPLOYER: CPS / Abington Memorial Hospital
POSITION: Full Time – Pharmacy Clinical Manager
WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT: Abington Township is one of Montgomery County’s oldest communities dating back to before 1700; however, the official date for the incorporation of the township is 1704. Abington is home to some of the county’s oldest transportation routes, industries and churches. Many of these older business and transportation centers were the forerunners of modern Abington. Today, Abington Township is a highly desirable residential area that contains a major shopping center, many small businesses, and a few of Montgomery County’s largest employers.
Valley Forge National Historical Park is the gateway to a region jam-packed with fun and recreation. Love to shop? Stop at King of Prussia Mall, the East Coast’s largest shopping mall…where there’s no sales tax on clothing!
Enjoy the visual arts? The Barnes Foundation houses one of the world’s greatest collections of Impressionist art. Plus, there’s Pennsylvania German folk art, sculpture gardens, and galleries where local artisans sell their work. There are festivals and performances year-round, from jazz to folk, headliner acts to Las Vegas-style shows.
Recreational facilities abound for golf, hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding and boating. Abington is just half an hour outside of Philadelphia, which means easy access to the home of Founding Fathers in uncomfortable colonial hats, and much more to see and do than even Philadelphians can manage.
You’ll delight in a region blessed with a remarkable spectrum of attractions — from scenic natural beauty and amazing outdoor activities to our vibrant history, fairs, and festivals.
