The Inpatient Pharmacy Manager works with the Pharmacy Director to create a budget and manage fiscal resources to meet budgetary targets, demonstrates commitment to principles of Relationship-Based Care and provides formal and informal strategies to educate clinical staff.

Essential Responsibilities:
Works in collaboration with the Pharmacy Director to enhance pharmacy services to providers, nursing, other members of the interdisciplinary team and patients and families . Provides  innovative leadership using evidence based practice as the foundation to lead change. Also ensures that medication administration and medication management practices meet/exceed national and regulatory standards of care – this includes helping to create/maintain policies and procedures of the department.

At least 5 years hospital pharmacy experience with 2-3 years in a management position preferred. Experience with a hospital informatics system including CPOE and use of bedside barcode scanning technology. Preferred: experience with Cerner as informatics system. Experienced at least one JCAHO accreditation survey as a manager as well as experience with PYXIS and able to troubleshoot problems with PYXIS. Pharm D preferred.
